Art and Elegance at B&B Villino il Leone in Florence

The to passion for elegance and design we met a young Florentine artist, Elena Fassanelli, whose love for the art of restoration, attention to detail and the desire to experiment with modern materials, produces real works of art. His hand moves among extraordinarily ancient manuscripts and incunabula and photo albums bound with high quality fabrics and precious stones, leather guest books decorated with mother of pearl and onyx lamps embellished with doodles.
Each work of art is the result of a long process of design, knowledge, selection and choice of quality materials where no detail is left to chance.

Exhibition of mosaics at B&B Villino il Leone in Florence

Inside the main building of the Villino il leone,  you can see a small exhibition of mosaics, made by Dr. Jessica Faelli, who,  improving  her  talent manifested since she was a student  has succeded
to participate in the realization of importan public and private works.

THE THIRTIES. The Arts in Italy Beyond Fascism - 22 September 2012-27 January 2013

The exhibition explores the 1930s through the masterpieces of over forty leading artists of the period, including Mario Sironi, Giorgio de Chirico, Alberto Savinio, Achille Funi, Carlo Carrà, Arturo Nathan, Achille Lega, Ottone Rosai, Ardengo Soffici, Giorgio Morandi, Ram, Thayaht, Antonio Donghi, Marino Marini, Renato Guttuso, Carlo Levi, Filippo de Pisis, Scipione, Antonio Maraini and Lucio Fontana (99 paintings, 17 sculptures and 20 objects of design). They tell the story of a crucial era characterised by an extremely vibrant and innovative arts scene.

DA FATTORI AL NOVECENTO - Villa Bardini till novembre 4th, 2012

A large and valuable collection is on display at Villa Bardini with more than 100 paintings by famous authors including Fattori, Signorini Telemachus, Giuseppe Abbati, Eugenio Cecconi, Vito D'Ancona, Oscar Ghiglia, Ulvi Liege, Llewelyn Lloyd. From the first painting of the exponents Macchiaioli until that late in the first half of the twentieth century, the collection features a significant body in the quality and variety in the topics that has been enriched from generation to generation and has come down to our day almost new.

Cocktais at Bargello Museum

From 1 August, at 7 pm, enjoy cocktails and graniti in one of the most beautiful and important art museums in Florence.

Free entrance into the state museums, monuments and archaeological sites.

Pitti Jazz - Boboli Gardens

Pitti Jazz in Septembe:  

Wednesday 5:  the group called “BoBo” with Fabrizio Bosso trumpet, Rosario Bonaccorso on bass.

Monday 10: Rita Marcotulli with Luciano Biondini and the extraordinary Argentine multi-instrumentalist Xavier Girotto.

Thursday 13: the saxophone of Mirko Guerrini (and also with piano and live electronics) in an new style concert with sand images created live by Massimo Ottoni, visual artist.

Entrance is at 8 pm throuth the Rondò di Bacco entrance to the Boboli Gardens; there will be the opportunity do visit the amazing Buontaletti Grotto with new lighting. Concerts start at 9:30 pm. Tickets are €12.
